I've been lurking for awhile gathering information about my gun. so from the information
I've gathered from this forum my Silver Streak was manufactured between 1956 > 1960.
I bought this gun with the money from first job. (part time High School around 1961)
paid $20.00 used. after a few yrs. it started to leak, so I sent it off to Sheridan
to have it fixed. they fixed it I only had to pay to have it mailed and they threw
in the grip for free which I didn't have. so after about 30 yrs. after the first
reseal "Ole Reliable as I call her" needed to be resealed. the day I sent her to
Pyramyd Air I found out about Mac1 would have liked to send her there. Well after
waiting about a month I got her back working good as ever. I guess they decided
I need a new bolt so I don't have the original straight bolt any more :-(
would have liked to keep her as original as possible.
Ole Reliable shoots straight and hard a ever. only the guy behind her with the
not so young eyes is unreliable. :-)

I love those things. And you have a great history to go with yours to boot. However I believe I'd demand PA return the original bolt. That will affect the collectible value and they knew that when they took it. That's criminal in my book.

X3 on getting the bolt back. That's kinda weird that they'd not send it, but what do I know?

after careful reading of the information about the Streaks. the gun was possibly manufactured 1956 > 1958. hold down safety 1949-1962, straight bolt 1949 -1960, rear sight screw with dimples 1956 - 1971, front sight High Comb Stock - 1949-1958, the words "5mm Cal" and "Made in USA" Absent those inscriptions 1949-1959. only has " Silver Streak". yesterday I went to shoot at range my friend and I set up at his place. with open sights target set at 90ft. third shot was in the bull. and that was with elbow resting on a table and the fuzzy front sight with my glasses. first two shots were 6 O'clock low.
I'm still working with my 392 that I bought just encase the Silver Streak was unrepairable. thanks to this group I found about paint in the muzzle.
so I removed the paint with paint remover. one thing I've noticed between the two guns the Streak is easier to pump to 8 the 392 is more difficult to pump the same amount.
