Hello Airgunners! Just received a new ZR mount and was curious what you folks use to lube the rails. This one seems a little dry.
Thanks

I've never seen one but whatever you use should be pretty dry. Dust and dirt will adhere to many lubricants. Consider burnishing in a bit of moly powder.

I have heard that "liquid ball bearings" is the lube of choice.
Good luck finding it.

I've got some McLube 1725 mold release which is ptfe type mold release. Spray it on, heat in up to around 250F or just let it sit in the sun shine on a hot day. It's totally dry but very slippery. Unfortunately it looks like it's not available anymore. I got it from when I worked in the aerospace industry. NOTHING sticks to it!!

Dupont makes a teflon type(?) chain lube that drys so no dirt or dust adheres to it. I just sprayed down the cheap knock off version I drilled and tapped for set screws to take out the play like Hector does with the ones he sells. Seems to work pretty good and I believe Lowes sells it thou I haven't bought any in a few years as I just ride as much anymore.
