The trigger is the thing I like the least about it. Of course, I only shoot at 10 yards, for accuracy, with this gun. I feel every nuance in the trigger pull. Spongy is the perfect word for it. But I have learned to control it.
Any suggestions for that job?
I just discovered that this XS12 also loves the H&N Match pellets. So far this rifle has exquisite taste in the finest lead. The RWS Meisterkugeln are so-so and it can group them OK but the H&N's are crazy accurate just like the JSB's. The POI changed slightly, not enough to change the settings yet on the scope compared to the Czechtastic JSB Diabolos. I will have to try some longer distances since I only tried the these wadcutters at 10m (after all they are a 10m competition pellet). I was thinking these H&N's would make a great, close range rat-busting ammo. BTW, these are the 4.51mm head size and they fit perfectly unlike the Meisterkugeln which literally fall in the bore. I think you have to step up to the higher end (R10) pellets in the RWS line to get a variety of head sizes. Wadcutters usually stink at moderate to long ranges but we'll see what this does soon. Stay tuned...
I know this is an old post but I am looking for a gun to take pigeons with inside of a pull barn would this fit the bill? Right now my crosman tr77 does it for me but if I miss its gonna rip a hole right threw that barn and I don't want that so I'm looking for something with just enough power to take one inside of 15 yards but not enough to punch threw a barn!
