For directions to Angeles Shooting Ranges (ASR) you can do a Google Search and an ASR Map will be one of the top picks.
CASA's Monthly Angeles FT Match is Next Sunday the 28th of July. We start around 9AM but please try to show up early to help set-up. Jose Nunez is the ASR CASA Rangemaster and Tim McMurray the Safety Officer. 48 shots will test your marksmanship and wind doping skills.
The earlier we start the cooler it will be. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, bugspray, snacks etc. Hydration vests are not a bad idea this time of year.
See You at Angeles Next Week.
Angeles Shooting Ranges is off the 210 @ Osborne a few miles up the Canyon. 12651 Little Tujunga Canyon Rd, Lake View Terrace, CA 91342 (818) 899-2255. The CASA ASR FT Venue is on your left as you enter the main parking lot of the ASR complex.
Range Fees are $10 for CASA members and $12 for the Public. The ASR FT Venue is only available to the public during CASA events.

We had moderate weather with early overcast skies but clear by match time. I estimated the high temps were in the upper 80s, though it felt warmer in the sun.
We had a 48 shot, 12 lane match with 19 shooters.

WFTF/PCP

George Doganis had a great match in Open/PCP. Tim MacMurray was second by just one point and then Kelly Hawe one point behind Tim.
Larry Albach has been steadily improving and got the win in Hunter/PCP.
We had a couple of new shooters. Father and daughter - Jeffery and Heather Ye. Both seemed to be having a good time.
At the local CASA matches, Jeff Carmello has had a long winning streak going in Hunter/Piston. I had hoped to upset him at the last match but he still won. I practiced more intensely over the last two weeks and finally got him in a close match that came down to the last target.

A great day of shooting greeted the CASA boys and girl at the Angeles
shooting range. Sunny skies and a light variable breeze created great
conditions. Doug miller, after a long layoff cleaned the entire course.
One person cleaned all of the short targets, which is a challenge in
itself considering the ultra small killzones.
There are three matches left in the CASA grand prix and it is still an undecided game.

One of the most beautiful days of the year greeted the CASA gang at the Angeles shooting range. Mild temperatures and light breezes made it a pleasant
day of shooting with great friends. Vipha upheld the Miller name by shooting
an impressive match.
Folks, it just hardly gets better than this. Maybe someday I will actually hit an offhand shot.
This was the final match in the CASA season long Grand Prix. Those final results;
The CASA Grand Prix was a season long points series. We had a total of 12 matches in the series beginning in April. To be able to be scored in the GP you had to be a paid member by the April Heavens Ranch match.
Scoring was done by comparing scores as a percent of the winners score in each match at each venue in each of four classes. You had to have at least two matches at each venue to qualify. final scores were based on each competitors best placement in 8 matches but at least two had to come from each venue. Those who did not shoot two matches at each venue were not listed. The winner of each match received 100 points regardless of class or his total score. All other shooters in each class received points based on a percentage of the winners score in each class.
While shooters were only able to use 8 matches it was better to have the whole 12 to increase ones probability to have 8 good scores. Shooting less than 8 matches made it difficult to win in a larger field. In less populated classes one could still win with less than 8 matches.
