I'm not one of those guys that want to live forever.
Got sick a few weeks ago and couldn't smoke after 53 years non stop.I went 15 days and as soon as I could handle it I picked them back up. I couldn't get over the hump and didn't like how I felt.I'm not one of those guys that want to live forever. It's been an awesome ride.... no regrets.

It's been an awesome ride.... no regrets.No judgement from me I know how hard it is to quit smoking and my only motivation was many of my hobbies require that my lungs work at peak performance. My brother and I ocean kayak on Long Island Sound and the thought of having him tow me back to shore is a fate worse than death itself. I would hear about for the next 20 years or until I finally call it quits.
I picked up a rifle once more on the eBay auctions. A Daisy 1894 Buffalo Bill Commemorative rifle from 1965. In pretty good condition for a rifle that's 54 years old! It shoots, but collector/seller even says it seems to need seals. Paid yesterday, will be here Saturday! I got the backstop set up too. Anyway, here's some pics; Now, the most interesting part of this story is the fact that I went to Northwood Junior High School with Buffalo Bill Cody's Great Grandson, or Grandson, I forget how that part goes exactly. He had black hair, a true cowboy's build, and really looked like Bill in the face. This was 7th grade, 1969. He also showed me family pics with him, Bill, etc no other human of us has ever seen to prove his story. So this rifle has some meaning to me. Don't ya just love it when special, unexpected cool things happen in your life?
Thanks Jack.... I walked around in a dizzy fog for several days. On many occasions I had to stop and support myself from falling down. I had stuff in my lungs that I couldn't cough up. If that's quality... I'm good. Some people dip, some people chew. I prefer to smoke.

Got my Hatsan Flash QE yesterday, and got my Discovery VT-2 4-16x50 scope mounted on it. Haven't put any shots through it yet, I'll be doing that this weekend. Looking forward to it!
Thanks! The backstory really adds to it for me. But it just bumms me totally to have been out bid @ $454 on this Sears, Roebuck & Co Octagon-barreled, gold enhanced beauty from my day;
