I wonder why they won't ship outside the USA.
Hi All, Sorry to ask what is possibly a really stupid question but are the CRT-4G triggers still available from the charliedatuna site? I was/am hesitant to blindly send $36 cash to someone in SC so I decided to email them first to at least make sure there was a live person on the other end. This was a couple of days ago but I never received a response.So... from everything I can tell it seems legit but I would feel better sending cash if I could get a response.Very kind regards, tim
Hi all,I'm Foz, I live in the UK.I recently bought a Stoeger X20, and I bought a GRT iii trigger to replace the original one as it's a bit rubbish.I'm having problems with the GRT iii, though. I have had a search but I can't find anything that has helped me.I followed all of the instructions when fitting the trigger. But after fitting the trigger the gun wouldn't cock. I'm not 100% sure on terminology here, but I believe I'm right in saying the sear wouldn't engage. I checked the troubleshooting guide and it talks about making sure the trigger blade is seated properly on the trigger - i checked and it is. As per the guide, I've filed down where my safety and beartrap are to allow clearance. The only way I can get the gun to cock, is if I turn the 1st stage screw all of the way out (so it is barely touching the trigger blade), and the 2nd stage screw most of the way in (which means i have no second stage) - even then it fires with a tiny tiny bit of movement on the trigger, and even fires with the safety on.If I put the original trigger back on, it cocks as expected and shoots as expected - although now I can shoot through the safety since it has been filed down to accomodate the other trigger. With the original trigger on, when I pull the trigger I get no play in the trigger blade, until it reaches the point where it puts pressure on it. With the GRT I get a tiny amount of play in the trigger blade before it puts any pressure on it/reaches the second stage (When it is set up to have a second stage, but doesn't cock). The GRT trigger feels great when it's on, but the gun isn't safe with it installed.I've had the trigger on and off so many times now trying to work this out - several hours of my time pondering to what is causing it but I can't work it out.Does anyone have any advise for me please? Thanks,Foz
Hey Foz, sorry for the issues and the lack of answers you have gotten. I am really up to my ears in work and not had time to investigate by opening my X20 to take a look. Gene installed mine while doing a NP conversion to it but I don't believe he had to do any filing of anything. And to me, it sounds like the filing has caused the safety to now not function at all. NOT good. If you can, please take some close up photos of the trigger assembly. As detailed as you can. It's really hard to troubleshoot without having it in front of me but we will try. Shipping back and forth would be very costly too. But we will try to help.
