Don't you think that a "first rifle" should have open sights? Mine did!It would be a lot easier to learn on and easy to upgrade once they get the hang of it?-Y
Maybe just me but I use to shoot CO2 pistols, and it was fun. But then I grew tired of dealing with the powerlets. And kids I guess? They'll blow through them. Blow a seal use 1/2 and got to discarge it whenyou put it up, want to shoot and you need some Ect..If kifs and good ol unk brewbear is buying the trips to Walmart may grow old. It did for me . Extra cost on top of pellet cost.A multi pump or brake barrel pistol less money , less hassle, same fun. Then that's just me now today (Opinion)Enjoy..
I'm a co2 fan and I don't take the cartridge out until it's empty. Why would remove a still good cart? I've let them sit for weeks in a gun with no problems. pump guns are okay, but if the kids are little, it may be too hard for them to pump more than 2 or 3 times. I have a 397 waiting for a grandson to be strong enough to pump it up himself. The Chaser would be a great gun for kids. My grandson loves shooting my 2400kt. Yes, I have to change the cart every 40 shots, but that gives us time to replenish the targets.Sorry, I can't help with the Diana scope question.p.s. all my grandsons find it easier to shoot with a scope than open sights. they also think it's cooler.
