I installed a$660 list priced scope on a$120 liberty.😳🤣

The Dampa mount Airmax combo survived my 23 fpe Rx1 (Hw90) for a couple thousand rounds be the gun died. That's a gas piston gun and known scope eater.

The gun "died" because the detent block on the compression tube wore away quickly and the gun wouldn't lock up. A new compression tube was more than the gun was worth to me so I parted it out. I suspect that the chisel detent wasn't moving freely before I got the gun and broke through the surface hardening and from there it didn't last long.
A good scope usually costs as much as the gun. If you keep a spare on hand, the original will never break.
