Deeco, you're becoming the Gamo expert. They should just send you parts and skip all the nonsense Lol, the bugs were big when I lived in Florida. Luckily that pellet didn't blow out the side. I wonder why they shrouded the whole barrel on those models? My Gamo just has the "pickle" style, seems solid enough to use it as a cocking aid. I have no idea on disassembly for that style, and I think it's permanently mounted. Seems to work good, so I'm not messing with it.
I think you'll find the baffles on these spring/igt guns do virtually noting but take up valuable barrel length. The heard noise is produced by the mechanics. I have the more powerful mach 1 and took out the baffles so i could add cut metal pipe for better balance, it changed nothing, still a quiet gun because of the igt. Now if you had a co2 or hpa powerplant then you'd hear the difference.
