Ughhh! The roll pin won't hurt the gun. Remove everything. Clean deep into dovetail grooves with rubbing or denatured alcohol. Dismount the scope from the rings put the roll pin in the rear ring just low enough so it just catches the inside edges of hole with the dovetail clamp lightly engaged. Slide the ring back until the pin stops the ring. Tighten the dovetail clamp to 55 inlbs then tap the roll pin down lightly until it bottoms out. You'll hear a change of sound when it bottoms. Install front ring loosely, install scope and ring caps loosely. Position the front ring and scope for proper eye relief. Just barely snug the ring caps. Tightened front dovetail clamp to 55 inlbs. Loosen ring caps and plumb scope reticle to gun. Tighten ring caps in stepped cross pattern until 16 inlbs. Nothing will ever move again. No loctite or magic needed. Buy a fat wrench (torque wrench) if you don't have one. The beauty of those rings is that roll pin is large, smooth, infinitely adjustable and WILL NOT hurt your gun when installed correctly. Way past my bedtime. Goodnight.
one piece mount.

Way past my bedtime. Goodnight. Thanks Ron for the detailed instructions. This is the first time I've used a Sport Match mount with the press-fit roll pin. I have a torque wrench, and will follow your instructions to the letter. Dan
My pleasure Dan. Glad it's working for you now. Deeco eventually you'll learn to trust my advice. Btw the Sportsmatch rings are made in the UK, not China. Whatever hardware they use is top notch and I seriously doubt it's made in China. I can tell by the smooth thread cut, tool fit and minimal bolt stretch it's very high quality. I've been using their rings for a few years now and never once stripped a hole or screw using their torque specifications Nor had one slip or damage a gun. I have them on all my scoped airguns and a few European powder burners.
I trust Ron's expertise. There was no need for me to research the torque specifications on these Sports Match TO4C mounts. As he instructed, I tightened the dovetail clamps to 55 inlbs and tightened the ring caps in stepped cross pattern until 16 inlbs. After shooting 100+/- pellets with no movement I'm confident my problem is solved.

May of been born at night but not last night.. Anyway glad it's now firm in place..

May of been born at night but not last night.. Anyway glad it's now firm in place.. Three possible reasons it was slipping. ▪I didn't degrease the dovetail of lubricant ▪I didn't use the stop pin ▪I only torqued the dovetail screws to 35 inlbs.
Dan I made a insert for the stop pin hole it seems to work so far. It's copper gas tube ,but like steel break line should work . Helps take up the free space between the hole size and pin size as well. Also make it just taller than the hole depth so if the pin vibrates up and out of the hole it higher then the receiver so it don't scare it if it moves back. Also I don't worry about torque settings on the base screws I just crank them down. . them bade screw torque settings ain't for springers anyway... Lol.... (Opinion).
Don't waste your time explaining what happened to someone that knows everything. I'm just glad you were humble enough to take my advice and it's working for you now.
I mounted a Hawke Airmax 4-12x40AO to my .177 R9 today using Sport Match TO4C mounts. After about 50 shots I noticed they had crept back on the dovetail about 1 mm. I'm not using the stop roll pin that came with the mounts for fear of egging the hole in my dovetail. Any help would be appreciated.
