Everyone wants to shoot one once or twice, but few would want to do the things needed done in order to try to use it regularly
While you may not get an opportunity for a second shot.... tuning so that the first 2 shots are the same velocity (instead of falling off a cliff) will insure that you are not wasting huge quantities of air.... You would be shocked at how much of the recoil is the mass of air being ejected from the muzzle if the valve is still open when Elvis leaves the building.... Often the velocity loss, tuned like that, is only a few fps (less than 10)....Bob
Seems to have reached, or crossed, the point of where it becomes less "fun" the bigger the bore of the gun. Sure it's great to be able to shoot the cannon once or twice, but then wait longer than usual to fill the air back up, while also using 6-10x more lead per shot than a "standard" .357-.45 rifle which means that much more time spent casting slugs. It becomes less of a "regular" thing and more of a "special occasion" or "during hunting only" thing. Everyone wants to shoot one once or twice, but few would want to do the things needed done in order to try to use it regularly
Seems to me the biggest complaint about this gun is having enough air to supply it!.... To me, that indicates that air consumption is an issue.... Bob

BobNo it is'nt, just a new issue, not encountered before.I for one will have a compressor and two boosters to my disposal, and thus no issue at all!As for most Zeus shooters they will have a booster (i hope!).
I thought 12 gauge was "maximum" .690, wouldn't that be too small for the .72 that these seem to be?

Think of it like top fuel drag racing, not all of it has to be efficient and make sense. Just for that one thousandth of a second burning pistons and changing parts after every pass. It's the same when searching for that limit where does it end and wont give any more speed. Marko
