Okay Gentlemen,
This will be hard. It may even seem impossible.. But here's your task.
If you could only keep 3 of your beloved Vintage Airguns what would they be.
No honorable mention here, limit is 3 and in order of favoritism... Don't worry they won't know.
Feel free to add pictures, I may later, but for now I'll just list.
1) 1963 Blue Streak
2) 1965 Crosman 140
3) 1965 Crosman 180
That took chutzpah and I'm not even Jewish,
Let's see what ya got!
Cheers!
Rich

My Super Grade #45 as it came from a good friend that is no longer with us.
The Carl Pirko rifle that was a gift...
The ball reservoir from the Ingvar Alm collection, one of my favorite guns to use.
-
CZ VZ35 custom stock 1939, BSA Light custom stock 1919 (favorite shooter), Diana 58 model 2 1931

There are only 2 rifles so I guess they are both keepers
1) A 2nd variant Kessler
2) 50’s Blue Streak, I still have the straight bolt but it was swapped out to use the scope
3) would have to be my crosman 106
-
1. Crosman 160 3rd variant
2. Sheridan Silver Streak
3. Crosman 114

I guess the 177 for #3 because I have nothing else like it, but honestly everything beyond #1 is a moot point anyways.

Crosman 180. Always fun!
Sharp U-SL. My coolest airgun
Titan pcp from the early nineties. Super accurate and reliable.

Easy for me. My '67 Sheridan, early 50s steel barreled Crosman 114 and tricked out Crosman model 180 with Sears dove-tailed barrel and longer gas tube.

Kind of a no-brainer cause I only own three vintage guns! ;D
But if I could pick three I’d like to OWN they would be:
Crosman 1400 3rd model, slimline stock.
Slavia 618.
Any early twentieth century Quackenbusch.
-
I'll have to go with the three that I have.
My '64 Blue Streak, my Crosman 160 clone (QB-78), and the Revelation 760 that I spent so much time looking for. They're pretty much all I've ever wanted.
Ride on,
J~

Hmm, well I've only got 3 locked in the gun safe, the rest are in the pile-o-airguns. So, I guess;
SW77A - display it at a gun show sometime and see what kind of comments you get
FWB300U - the smaller, lighter version
Silver Streak, 1964 - all original, never been opened up and still pumps, holds, and shoots great
I'm breaking the rules here, but go ahead and fine me, I don't care. Honorable mentions go to the FWB124, 1979 Benji 342 and a no-markings Apache
-
1. Early Crosman 120 my first vintage airgun, brass barrel, white bead front site. My most accurate gun.
2. Sky Hawk MMB Filipino bulk fill .38 cal smooth bore long gun. Shoots lead balls, shot shells, spears, has a .22 rifled insert. When I saw it at Baldwinsville I wasn't leaving without it.
3. Benjamin 362 bit of an oddball, Crosman 160 power in a carbine, if only for a dozen shots. Borderline toyish looking, and I like 8 gram cartridge guns
Rules were made to be broken so honorable mention goes to my Challenger Plainsman pistol from DT Fletcher's collection. Customized by Peter Ruut, who is a heck of a good guy. Plus I'd never get my money back if I attempted to sell it.

Here's my 3.
The 180 with the bug buster is inching it's way up there! The upper left was sighting in, the upper middle flyer she was loosing steam. It's a 1966
I typed 65' in my first post.
-
Though choices but here are first 3 that come to mind:
1. .20 1953/54 Sheridan Silver Streak
2. .177 B.S.F. 55N
3. .22 Falke Modell 70

I have a Slim Line 1400. It is like new with original stickers on it, I think it was put away in a closet back in 1978. It needs a reseal and I haven't shot it yet. It does not feel as stout and well made
as my 65' 140 or my 73' second variant 1400. I think you may have the same 2nd variant (from pictures). The older ones feel like they are better built in my humble opinion. ;)

My first air rifle was a 1978 model slimline 1400. I want one purely for the nostalgia.

Giffard Pistol
DIANA 50M
FALKE 90

Giffard Pistol
DIANA 50M
FALKE 90
Wow! Cool, that Falke 90 will be forever on my bucket list. The Giffard beyond my pay grade, awesome looking guns.
-
My top 3:
1. Walther LGR SSP
2. Diana 75
3. Diana 66
-
I only have one, but one is all I need. 1973 Sheridan Silver Streak.
-
Dang, you guys are just showing off now. But keep it up, I’m enjoying seeing these.
-
Me Too! ;)
I can't believe the amount of work and craftsmanship on that Giffard pistol, I know nothing about it,
but it lends credence to the value of Airguns. That companies took that much time and effort to produce
those works of art speaks volumes...Cool stuff!
-
Some of these heirloom time capsules are incredible.
My three are obviously the Sheridan Super Grade, Silver Streak and Blue Streak.
The Silver and Blue could get bumped if something really special is discovered.
-
1.) .22, l/h, Theoben Gran Prix (1988)
2.) Sheridan Supergrade
3.) .22 Rapid MK II, l/h, grade 3 walnut stock, l/h action.
Very tough decision!
-
A few days ago I listed my top 3 but failed to share pictures, so I thought I would post some I came across once again here are my top 3:
1. .20 1953/54 Sheridan Silver Streak
2. .177 B.S.F. 55N
3. .22 Falke Modell 70
-
Pictures are always appreciated!
I've learned a lot on this forum, pictures always help.
Cheers!

I know exactly what you mean.

Fascinating how pump guns so dominated the American Airgun scene? And in Europe there are none of them? Totally different roads traveled. In the vintage arena fun to explore all the roads. Prewar European guns have gotten a total hold over me! Lol
-
Threads like this make me realize not only that I own too many guns...but that I think about them in weird ways, LOL. it might be a diff three tomorrow!
First up, best-shooting shooting example of my all-time fave the Weihrauch HW 55, in the unusual CM stock.
(https://i.postimg.cc/nhQRQwzC/2-BF06-D91-755-C-41-D5-B73-F-207451-E264-B0.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/75wMF9Sk)
Next a Diana model 60 Tyrolean. This gun kinda has it all...old-school quality hand-fit workmanship (IMHO the wood finish and checkering on these is without parallel) meets utterly totally recoilless action, fantastic trigger.
(https://i.postimg.cc/vBG3kYvV/E3-E01-D63-0-BDF-47-BA-BA52-BE0-DF1-DA064-F.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/NyP6rwSs)
Finally a third-variant Webley Mk II Service. An elegantly nutty design...I think of it as what happens when you lock a dozen crusty old machinists in a room, and dare them to out-do each other!

Alright mine are:
1). Sheridan Model A #1825 Nice firing and accurate rifle!
2) James Perotti JPSAX .32 Cal Custom rifle. Shoots great and its just cool and one of a kind.
3). Sears Roebuck/Crosman 600 Semi auto pistol - Serial #: 00001
:o
-
@MDriskill: yeah, the webley. Sold the gun - regretted it. Incredible system to change the caliber/barrell within seconds.

On my bucket list but doubt it will ever be filled.
-
I first thought I only have 3, then started to think past the pumpers, I may have 5 or 7. I will do inventory and report back LOL.
-
Guys you have such gorgeous oldies!!!
Here's my modest contribution, my three favorite vintage airguns (from top to bottom):
Early 50s CZ236 in .177
1st variant Crosman 400 Repeater
Montgomery-Wards Hawthorne 140 (Crosman 140 4th variant)
All are in excellent working condition, and extremely accurate, and made from wood and steel (and a bit of leather ;D).
-

I know exactly what you mean.
There could be 2 since every now and then I get an itch to find the twin to my Silver in a 1973 Bluestreak. The day may come, we'll see...lol.
-
Only 3... DANG this is tough!
I have been chewing on this since the thread started.
So... here we go, purely for sentimental reasons I am choosing the 3 from my youth that the search for brought me here to GTA.
Sheridan Blue Streak
Benjamin 342
Crosman 160 (the Var III edged out the Var II only because of the trigger and it is an "AF Trainer")

They're all beautiful! Does the "AF" on the 160 stand for Air Force? Could you explain a little.
Thanks,
Rich
-
Yep ...
No way to prove it as they weren't stamped "US" or anything but it has all the characteristics.
S331 Peep and the sling swivels.
https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2012/08/crosmans-160-part-1/ (https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2012/08/crosmans-160-part-1/)
At some time in the 1960s, the Air Force bought a large number of 160s that were fitted with a Crosman S331 peep sight (made by Mossberg) and sling swivels that held a one-inch leather sling. As chance would have it, several hundred of these rifles were discovered unused in a government warehouse in Maryland or Virginia in the 1990s.
