I just bought one from Pyramid Air for $300. They have dropped the price a lot.

Kind of looks like a screw up or something in their system? Or short term deal? The .177 is 379.99, Then theres are two .22 cal choices one of which is 299.99 and the other is 379.99.

In reading the details listing below - $299 is Refurbished
-
You are correct, it is refurbished. I did not see the tiny note off to the lower side of the rifle's ad. I just complained to them. There was no mention of refurbished when I ordered either. The confirming order e-mail from them did not mention refurbished either.
-
It looks as if the only ones actually in stock are refurbished. The .177 & .22 not marked as refurbished are shown as pre-order.
-
A little food for thought here - are these guns REALLY refurbished? By whom? Or are they guns where the original purchaser got "buyer's remorse" and returned them? Perhaps they were defective in some way and returned. These cannot be sold again as new. My advice - shoot the snot out of it during the first month to see if any problems appear. You don't want to be left with somebody else's problems.

So, the rifle you’re getting is tested and been found to be good. All for $300. Or you can preorder for $380, add the 10 for $10 testing fee and wait for it to show up. Someday. Maybe.
I think I’d use the $90 saved and buy pellets, etc. Don’t understand why you would complain. The refurb was plainly marked. Multiple places.

I agree. I was told years ago that the refurbs actually had eyes and hands on them to make sure everything was copasetic. I've bought several refurbs and never had a problem.
-
I did go with the refurbished.
I thank you for the shoot the &^^& out of it for a month idea:). Will do.
Customer Service apologized for the misleading ad and they have since changed it to one that plainly states the facts.

Have fun with your new 34 Jeff, and good luck with it.
Let us know if there is a small "R" (for refurbished) stamped on the action. If not, P/A probably did some adjustments on returned guns, tested them, and deemed them to be in good working order for resale.

I bought a 34 from there, that's a classic, not an ems, very good deal, not refurbished, just a closeout sale cuz those are discontinued

The Gunparts models are Diana 34's, basically their bread and butter gun since 1983. This particular sale is just new old inventory from RWS, the former importer for Diana, and the guns are so labelled. RWS no longer has the US sales contract. This is probably the last chance to get a new Diana 34 and at a great price, as Diana has dropped that model from their catalogue. I bought the RWS branded Diana K98 springer from Gunparts and it was in perfect condition. These are not seconds nor refurbs. The 34 might not have all the bells and whistles of the new EMS but it is a proven design many times over and there are parts and kits galore available for them.

The reasons above are why I just bought one from them. It should be here tomorrow.

Another 34 owner enters the fold. 😊 Hope it gives you years of enjoyment

The rifle looks as new as anything can be. It shoots better than I do. There is no small "R" stamped on it. I am very happy with my purchase. It is a very nice rifle and will probably last a lot longer than I will. Glad I bought it.
-
And glad you like it. I asked about the "R" stamp because it identified refurbished guns so that they could not be resold as having been bought new (full price). Looks like it may have been something UmarexUSA did as the service center.
-
I asked about the "R" stamp in post #9 :)
What's up Red?!? What's the latest with the Dianawerk Collective? Are you still running it? Last time I visited it appeared to be a single gate/forum and there were discussions on Crosman and other airguns. Is the forum no longer dedicated to Diana or German airguns?
