I am hesitant to put a different scope on my New Benjamin Prowler NP gun because I destroyed 2 springer rated scopes on my Beaman GS950.Almost leads me to think they just warranty them and they all eventually break down from the shock of the piston. I have a LTG 3-9x U-13 scope laying around. I think its springer rated but not sure. But which inexpensive scope have you used on a springer that has actually head zero and did not break apart after 2000 shots?Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 3-9x40 AO Mil Dot Riflescope ?UTG 3-9x ?any other suggestions?I think the bullseye mount is best but can't locate one, they have been out of stock for months.I was reading an amazon review and the guy states that any spring gun over 12 FPE should use a 30mm tube and not 1"."Magnum Spring Air Rifles above 12 fpe - the minimum Scope Tube Diameter should be 30 mm for high powered Air Rifles) in any caliber as long as it's mounted correctly."I'm not sure why he is saying that, 30mm scopes have the same optics just more turret range.

A couple of the old timers will mechanically zero the scope then bend the barrel to correct poa/poi to very close at 25 to 30 yards then after they have the barrel corrected they adjust for zero with the scope
I have a Bushnell 3-12X40 on my 21fpe NP2 for around 20,000 shots with zero problems! GREAT glass. Clear and bright. And not expensive.https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&O=&Q=&ap=y&c3api=1876%2C%7Bcreative%7D%2C%7Bkeyword%7D&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpNLx4YSR1wIVT57ACh1Smw4IEAQYAiABEgLbM_D_BwE&is=REG&sku=911089
I have a CenterPoint 3-9x32 mildot reticle that has stood the test of time on one as well. One other thing you may want to check is the condition of the piston seal, if there isn't a proper seal with the chamber the gas ram will slam the piston forward with even more of a shock.

They don't have them listed as in stock, you have to pre-order them. I put the Diana BullsEye ZR Mount on a Benjamin Trail NP LX 1100 Rifle and mounted a Hammers 3-9x32 AO Scope. The person that I got this gun from had trashed out 2 expensive glass reticle High Dollar scopes in 3 years with this gun. I got the gun and that person kept the current scope and bought a PCP rifle. I put the mount on and all scope problems disappeared to include minor POI shifts from time to time. The biggest problem with the Bullseye ZR Mount is binding on the rails. When I called PA, to talk things over with them before the purchase, I found out that the binding problem was due to improper torquing of the mounting screws. I bought the mount and when it arrived, I torqued everything to the correct torque and the mount has worked Flawlessly just as the PA tuner said it would. I have not had any problems, whatsoever, since I got it. This is just one solution and it worked for me. I can't comment on any others or other types of scopes because I've not owned or used them. Best Wishes - Tom
But the guy said the bushnell took 20,000 shots from a nitro springer. And bushnell has a warranty.
Quote But the guy said the bushnell took 20,000 shots from a nitro springer. And bushnell has a warranty. So does Hawke, so does UTG, so does Hammers and so do quite a few others. As for the guy that said not to use anything but 30mm scopes on springers, I have something like 20 Hawke scopes, most of them Vantages, all with 1 inch tubes mounted in 2 piece ring sets and all are on springers and gas rams that shoot anywhere from 14 to 24 fpe and I've never had a problem of any kind with any of them.I can't speak for UTG, never owned one, but I do have a lot of Hawkes and a brand new Hammers 3-9x40 that appears to be holding up very well and if any of them break, I'll make use of the warranties they come with to get them replaced.

The Bushnell was on sale, the cheapest side focus I've seen. Not saying no other companies have life time warranties its how well they hold up to that warranty. Id rather not have to use it it. So 20,000 shots from a springer and holding zero is pretty good. Hawkes are great bang for the buck scopes but no side focus models under 100.00.
