Thanks for the advice. I do keep the rheostat on the lowest setting that I can see, but the 5 MOA dot is a little big, plus it sometimes appears to be more of a smudge to me. If money were no issue, I would get an ACOG, but that is not in the budget for a while, unfortunately. I'd like to spend < $300 if possible.
About cheap dots, the dot edges won’t be as crisp, my TRS has some parallax in one corner.
For sure. I have a slight astigmatism also. I went to eye doctor with 2 complaints. 1) stuff up close is harder to see than used to be and my eyes hurt at the end of the day. 2) sometimes I briefly get a double image with both being blurry. She said I have astigmatism and prescribed me cheaters.I thought my TRS25 was getting messed up, turns out my eyes are aging.
Try a 3-9X32 scope. Light weight and plenty of power.
Thanks for the info guys, but I have came to a decision. I ended up buying a Hawke fixed mag 4x32 with an adjustable optic. I own a few Hawks, so I'm sure I'll be happy with it.
