Tick tock tick tock.
Saw this as ATF regulations page . (27 CFR 479.11)Numerous paintball and airgun silencers tested by ATF's Firearms Technology Branch have been determined to be firearm silencers by nature of their design and function. Because silencers are NFA weapons, an individual wishing to manufacture or transfer such a silencer must receive prior approval from ATF and pay the required tax.Maybe this has some bearing on what's going on.
I thought this case decided the issue once and for all....... caselaw.findlaw.com/us-1st-circuit/1527670.html
My mind wants to tie this to the recent "silence" (no pun intended) from the Airgun Geeks and their related endeavors unexpectedly shutting down..
Already getting hard to find, this is why I travel to traditional "gun shows" and sell air guns, lots of "I had no idea!". Trying to inform and further the air gun sport. Now I have to tell them the Gov is starting to really take notice of the sport, next will be the elimination or regulation of full auto air guns...get yours now!
The question is if other AG LDC brands have stopped selling too; or only DFL?AOA still sells brands other than DFL, while selling DFL couplers: https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/airgun-silencers/AOU still sells other brands, with a few models of DFL still available:https://utahairguns.com/moderators/https://utahairguns.com/donnyfl-shogun-moderator/That makes it seem as if DFL company may be the locus of the focus.
