Hey what kind of engergy are you guys getting from your Beeman r9? I am using 14.3 pellets. The crony says 665fps. That comes out to 14ft/lbs. Is that about right? Oh its a .20 calthanks
Ok thanks. I actually thought it would be higher than that but it is what it is. At least I know it's about what it should be.
Yeah its fine the way it is for me. I have to do a bit of ratting and 14 ftlbs is just fine for that work. Hey while i have ya hear. What is a good energy level for a springer? I have a BSA Superstar in .22 using 18.13 JSB's and its running about 16ftlbs. In a springer with is a good compromise between power for hunting small game and shoot ability including cocking?
Yeah the two rifles have been on the wall for a while. Years actually. I took them down just to play with them and get them sighted in and maybe do a bit or ratting with them. Funny even after shooting pcps for a while these springers are a blast. LOL I completely forgot how much fun they are. The BSA is done being sighted in. This thing is unbelievable. Less than 3/8" at 20 yards two pellets in the same hole. Three shot group. Gotta do a little more tweaking on the R9.Yeah back in the day I hedged my bets with the .20 thinking I would get a flatter trajectory than the .22 and a little more punch than the .17.
No kidding. Any idea where he is?
Hi CaryI am using JSB 18.13 pellets. The accuracy is outstanding.
No kidding. Any idea where he is? I've been looking everywhere but cant find a town.
