So when you get around to it just tell cura what printer you have. If you cant figure it out Ill help. Once that is set then tell it what material you are using PETG PLA ABS etc and let it figure it out. Once that is done and a test print is done well Im sure you will be satisficed with the results. Once you feel comfortable to mess with settings then we will get into that and really its based on what is wrong not what can be improved at first. I see a problem I fix ONLY that problem then move on once I am happy with the result. That sounds really daunting but its not. I learned everything on my own I did all the research watching the vids reading the forums etc I never had anyone to talk to directly. So it took me years and hundreds of failed prints to gain what I know and you know what I still dont see my self as a master.
You do not need a flash drive it comes with this. It has EVERYTHING you need to get started. Its a 8 gig SD card you have no idea the files you can store on it. All you need to do is open the box run in 7 screws and plug some connectors in. If you have 1 hour you will be assembled leveled sliced loaded and printing. I think it took me 30 minuets from open box to print. I understand from your perspective that seems way out of your ability but I assure you its not.
That I cant help you with, when my sniffer was like a blood hound PETG was not a very strong odor to me.
I said it before and it bears repeating, you guys are aces! This far I installed Cura 5.1, selected the printer, selected the filament, loaded the 3DBenchy boat .stl file and "sliced" it. All I need now is the time to unbox the printer and set it up, waiting for a flash drive so I can store my files on and then time to actually print the file.
Nice... the ones from that post a bit ago ? That seemed like a really good deal. I wanted to snatch one up to have another brand to play with. I placed an order for an Elegoo Saturn S but ended up canceling it immediately after. I figured 500 dollars would be better spent on other things. I will get a resin printer soon though.
