Okay I've about decided to get a spring kit for my RWS-460 TO6 .22. If I do which is the better route to take? And why? Vortek or Maccari kit. The Vortek site is down for maintenance at the moment.
Opening up a Diana with a spring compressor you need to protect the safety end cap. You can use a half round piece to push / hold the bottom half. I would open it up and inspect the seal and spring before anything else. Also learn alot about your 460 in the process.
Not a good exploded view but the best I have
Johm in PA posted on the Airgun Warriors forum that Tom had broken his ankle but was going to try and do the little things he could in the shop.Surprise here for any number of people but yeah, I have a rifle with an after market kit in it...lol. My D34K .20 from Hector came with a Vortek Black Ops spring kit in it when I bought the rifle andwhen power seemed low at a touch over 12fpe, I bought both Vortek and ARH kits and proceededto experiment with both kits using Vortek, ARH and original Diana piston seals. At least for me, the best results I got after a week tinkering and testing were with the ARH spring kit and the Vortek seal and a 2fpe increase in power. Your mileage may well vary, but at least for me, it worked out just like I was hoping would.Your money, your rifle, your choice Dan. Neither is a bad choice
