Does anyone know of any progress on allowing for an air gun season for deer?

I saw a testimonial on a website where someone from Wisconsin shot a deer with an airgun.  Maybe it was a special crop damage tag?  When I saw it I thought I missed the news.  I guess these guys still need to "get with the program"  ;D

Sorry for the late response. We tried, but TBH, Crosman fumbled on the effort hard. A number of us did some solid lobbying in an effort to educate our political leadership on big bore air rifles and their place as a tool for deer hunting, however Crosman's lobbying arm was focused on a 'allow our airbows at all costs' effort. That resulted in the state bowhunter groups pushing airbows as an agenda item to the state conservation congress, which in the end polled state residents and shut down any attempt at expanding the current legality of airgun hunting opportunities in the state.

Here is one of the handouts I had shared with state legislators when I was lobbying for this a few years back (Feb 2018)

As of now, it is illegal. It's specifically outlawed on pg. 4 of the 2021-22 hunting regulations. Got to stick with the noisy PBs for now.
