I awoke to a beautiful morning... I hear the yard calling.Stay safe and well everyone.
Dan, even though it has been raining almost daily for about a week and a half, I will be able to mow when the dew dries. My house sits on top of a little hill and drains very well. And with the drier humidity and sunny skies, I will probably be able to start my outside stuff in about 15 minutes. Oh, I do enjoy yard work.
My lawn is back from being burnt to the ground & brown. It’s all green & thick with the cooler temps and a little bit of rain. It’s been covered in dew first thing the past several mornings too. I’m debating whether I should mow tomorrow, even if it’s wet with dew or Sunday evening when it’s dried. It is supposed to be a hot one Sunday, though- 97*.

On my yards I cut over 5 acres with my 60" zero turn mower that plus trimming usually takes 5 or 6 hours. I prefer to start around 7am. to beat with heat and humidity.

You're lucky you can use a mower. I've got around 5 acres I need to cut but I have to use a weed whacker due to all of the big rocks all over the place. At least I only have to do it 2 or 3 times a year but not sure this year because of all the rain.

I'm glad that your yard has turned green I know for a while that you were talking about how brown it was.So I'm gathering you never did get your lights put on your mower.

But I’m glad I’ve mulled it over. The last bit I learned is there’s already a rectangular switch knockout under the vinyl decal on the control pad. The switch that came with the lights is round. I’m going to see if I can find a rectangular switch that’ll fit and matchup with my light kit. Or I might make a blank that’ll fit the knockout and drill a hole for the round switch, it’ll be cheaper and should work good.
I have to be careful mowing at night so I don't get distracted and chase rabbits around...
Yep, definitely a full face cover up due to all sorts critters attracted to the lights... flying and otherwise.I definitely don't mow at night unarmed. Remember, I am on 5 acres in the woods next to a river in lower Alabama. If you're real quite, you can hear the banjos in the near distance....
