Warning take your Dramamine now. The video is shaky and I have ZERO editing skills. This is the first video using my DIY scopecam. Details of the build are in the Machining section. It's about 30 minutes before dark, using my FX Wildcat .22 cal that I re-zeroed today. After mounting the scopecam you can see that I need to re-zero the scope again it is shooting a little low and left. The left/right is reversed due to the prismatic cube that reflects 70% of the light to the camera and 30% goes to the shooters eye. The eye cup is a little bother some but nothing that can't be overcome. I am extremely happy with the results! ;D

I'll try and learn some video editing techniques before posting again. ;D I tried clipping the shaky parts out but couldn't figure it out last night. Also need to set the date on the camera, it's off by at least a year. :o ;D
Also I thought the scope was set on 3X, I checked it after posting the video, and no it was on 12X. I guess I zoomed in when I was attempting to re-zero the scope the first time yesterday.

Was that a lizard you nailed at the end? I have a couple tips that may help, first off, get a decent tripod! That helps tremendously with both video stability and accuracy! Second, find a decent video editing app that will allow you to adjust the speed of the video. Just slowing it 5-10% will help a lot with the perceived shakeyness. The focus and video quality look really good, it just a matter of controlling the shot to eliminate the movement. Great job on the DYI Scope Cam!

Thanks Paul! Yes it was about a 3-4" brown anole. They are an invasive species and actually take habitat from our native green anoles. Yes, a tripod will probably be one of my next acquisitions. That or shooting off of a bench rest. I was bracing against the sliding glass door in between cocking the gun. I was checking to see if I had knocked the scope off zero again after zeroing it earlier in the day and it is obviously slightly off again.
I just used the video editor on Windows 10 and couldn't figure out how to clip out all of the dark segments and re-bracing against the door. The lizard was just a bonus. I was aiming at his head as you can tell in the video. If you slow it down to 1/4 speed with YT you can tell the pellet cut a wire right in front of his head and deflected cutting him in two.
Patiently waiting for another mouse, vole, or RATTUS!

Ken, very very nice video cam set up! Nice shooting on the target and brown anole! You definitely should be proud of your work! Your WC is very quiet.

Thanks Randall! I was checking zero again after installing the scopecam and it is off slightly. The brown anole made the mistake of running up on the backstop while I was zeroing. :o
The WC sounds loud in the video on my laptop. It is by far the quietest gun that I own. It's .22 cal and has a Huggett moderator. When I was asking questions about buying it the owner said he thought it was shooting around 28fpe. I haven't ran it across a chrony yet though. I got the gun and it had over 150 bar in it so I loaded up a couple of pellets and just shot it at the backstop without a scope even mounted. It sounded like it was broken, or maybe a UK model shooting sub 12fpe. :o I pulled the moderator off and shot it once, I knew it wasn't broken then. ;D

Welcome Ken! Amazing how LOUD high pressure air can be! LOL! And, it astounds me how effective airgun moderators are! Boy, I'd be in the back yard ALL DAY if we had brown anoles....LOL! Wife would be like is he out there AGAIN!? LOL! He he...
