Hi,
I've been a springer guy for my entire life, and have the usual Diana 54, Beeman P1/P2, etc.. All the fun stuff a guy should own that performs at the upper end of the spectrum.
When I decided to jump into PCP's a couple years ago, the Leshiy was the gun I wanted, and right before I pulled the trigger they announced the Leshiy II - so, I ended up waiting and going that way. Could not be happier really, and enjoy it a TON.
However, as these things go, I'm suffering from a very acute case of gear aquisition syndrome - and feel a need to start researching my next purchase. I figure I don't want any more full autos, though, the pellet ones do look fun, that's not what I like to do - accuracy is #1 for me, but great power comes in #2 for sure.
I'm very familiar with the entire EdGun lineup, and will probably go that way - but the .457 Benjamin Bulldog has me at least checking it out - but - before I make any decisions, I figured I should ask the experts here:
If you didn't have a budget constraint, and you wanted a REALLY cool pcp airgun, what would you buy today?

Sounds like you’re looking for a big bore ? Why not the Airforce Line? Made here with lifetime warranty. Customer service is excellent. Someone always picks up the phone. These are as important to me as is build quality and accuracy. Of course they aren’t compact like an Edgun but they make power.

Thomas, any AAA, RAW (Martin will build one to your specs), RTI Prophet 2 (soon to be released) FX Impact M3....can wait for a Skout which look amazing as there is a video of a .30 being shot.....

Evanix Rex Pistol in .25 or .35
Build like a tank and accurate. I own the .25 on purpose for lower air consumption, though the .35 is a real beast !

Agreed and if you want power, but can live without larger calibers, my Talon P is compact and enough power to get most jobs done.

It's probably going to be a big bore or a .22 (my only pcp is currently a .30) maybe both. LOL

Oh boy...you've asked a HIGHLY loaded question !
I've also got the "GAS" problem. My safe is overloaded, literally . All of my rifles are .22's, all of the bull pup style, (all under 30" lg.) .
1. Believe it or not, my latest purchase is a little Kral, Empire XS, in .22. While inexpensive, it's NOT cheap. Well designed for an inexpensive gun. Shoulders well (I shoot freehand), accurate, adjustable trigger and hammer spring. I think that you need to go to Kral to buy it, that's what I did.
2. Airmaks Caiman, or Caiman X. I have both, in .22 Long story why both ! Very comfortable at the shoulder, very accurate (see Rick Rehm's, YouTube video about the Caiman) Trigger and power are easily adjustable.
3. The new AGT Vulcan 3. All around, great to shoot, doesn't need an add-on suppressor for the sound damping to be "back yard friendly". VERY accurate, adjustable power and trigger, comfortable at the shoulder.
4. Spending a bit more, and a "chassis gun"...I like my FX, Impact 3 Compact. Highly adjustable if you are into that, OR, make an adjustment...and leave it that way. Very accurate, easy to shoot. I modified it with a second air cylinder (side-by-side). Just for the *(&^ of it !! Easy to shoot, accurate, nice, adjustable trigger.
5. Edgun Lelya. Since you have some knowledge of the Edguns... This was my first PCP rifle. While I don't like the cutout for the middle finger location, that's easy to fix...and I did. Again, as with the rest, easy to shoot, adjustable, in all the right places.
Have you seen the video that Ed did with this rifle ? He ran over it with a truck. Put the scope back on and still shot to the point of aim..! I'd bet that...NO...other gun is capable of enduring that treatment...and still shoot...at all.
I can toss in more, but these are the ones that come to mind first.

With no budget limits, a Bulldog would be low on the list. Good gun, but low on power.
I'd probably find a used Umarex Hammer and pay someone to put a really good barrel on it. Or anything in the fourth post which are more elusive (exclusive).
Maybe an AEA Zeus in both calibers and a little tuning.
Daystate Alphawolf would be nice
Should probably mention Quackenbush if you can get one

Fellow EdGun owner here, no L2, but we own the Leshiy Classic and a Lelya 2.0.
I found the perfect complement to our EdGuns is a Korean cannon. Yeah, a ShinSung Career 707 in 9mm. Otherwise, a Leshiy Classic.
The Leshiy Cassic has more field-functionality than almost anything else. Rugged, compact, simple, easy to tune and adjust, easy to hand-pump, and easy to change caliber in the field. Hyperversatile, if you will.
In you (the OPs) shoes, I'd look for a Sumatra in .22 or .25 to take advantage of flexible power in a totally different design. "Black gun" versus "traditional lever action", but since most Sumatra owners aren't selling, an Eagle Claw would be a good equivalent. Optionally, a Lobo Mustang since they look fantastic and offer the closest you'll find to a "wild west" lever action made. The Wingshot and its kin are likewise optional- and have the flexibility of hurling pellets, shot, slugs OR arrows. Bottom line is the Leshiy 2 covers a lot of bases, so I'd be inclined to find something that scratches the itch of owning "something different".

With an unlimited budget, AAA Slayer .357. I have a .357 Bulldog, and it's not under-powered. Buy one for $8-900. Send it to Brian at Veradium Air. For a few hundred bucks, it will come back plenty powerful, and at a reasonable price. If my Bulldog wasn't so accurate and powerful, I'd own a .357 Slayer, but because it is, I just can't see anything the Slayer would do better than the Bulldog for almost 1/3 the price.

I am not familiar with all of the high-end offerings, but I can back the AAA .357 Slayer and the .30 cal FX Impact since I do have those.
There's nothing to do to the Slayer as it comes ready to rock and lays down some really pretty groups. It is easy to tune for different weights with having an external valve dwell and hammer spring adjustment which is all that is needed. I keep mine tuned to 280 FPE using my own 150gr cast slugs. I can get five shots on a 3800-psi fill very close to a 2% ES. Tethered to a 60-minute SCBA I can get several hours' worth of continuous fun at the range. It is one solid built big bore that is short, light and quiet (for a big bore) and has only a roughly three-pound cocking force with having a balanced valve. It has a retractable bolt probe which is neat. Attached is my best recorded six shot group at 100 yards with it using cast slugs. I would imagine it would do even better with more refined commercial ammo.
The .30 cal FX Impact really lays down some tight groups and does this very consistently which is the best part about the Impact for me. I keep mine tuned to 90 FPE but have taken it to 115 FPE. The Impact is a bit of a Lego build so is more fragile than the Slayer but is still solid and is quite the performer. It doesn't come tuned to perfection out of the box, but is a tinkers dream gun if you like spending coins on different twist rate liners, mods or just tuning to perfection for different ammo with having an externally adjustable valve dwell, regulator and hammer spring. With a 580cc tank and a large capacity magazine it gives lots of high-powered shots between fills.

I think in today's offerings it would be a a western bigbore sidewinder. Semiauto deer and coyote capable airgun sounds phenomenal to me.

If you didn't have a budget constraint, and you wanted a REALLY cool pcp airgun, what would you buy today?
My current favorite list for high quality and high accuracy is
1) American Air Arms Slayer in 308 or 357 (my friend has the 308 and it is by far the best quality airgun I have ever shot, we drill tennis balls at 250 to 300 yards with it)
2) Airgun Technology (AGT) Uragan (I have it in 25 cal and it is my personal favorite, I nail squirrels out to 150 yards with it every week)
3) Huben K1 (if you want a semi-auto PCP, this is by far the best I've shot, a few friends has them and they are a blast to shoot, but you go through lots of pellets)
4) Artemis (Snowpeak) P15 (small, light, accurate, lots of shots per fill, I have P15 in 177, 22, and 25 caliber, and they happen to be inexpensive too)

5 miles from my house. I have been going there for over 40 years.
Covid killed it, been closed and "for sale" since 2020.
Prime location, Busy intersection on 2 state highways (IN. 8 and 327)
I drive by it at least once a week and dream of an airgun store with 5 lane indoor range.

Share a similar dream , but looking at old barns in good condition on 5 or so acres, none are up for sale, but I may one day make them an offer. Barns are located on major Highways.

Just imagine... A store full of airguns on the left, and an indoor range on the right... All set up and ready to go. "Turn-key" so to speak.
I always figured it would be sold by now.
No air gunners here is the main reason it's not mine already.
