Title: aea challenger standard in .22 review please
Post by: buddyb on July 29, 2022, 09:46:51 PM
It would be great if you could do a review on the .22 AEA challenger  standard long stock air gun.

Really like your videos.

Seems no AEA dealer wants to send Rick an AEA gun to do a review on, with out him paying full price  ::)
But yes GTA you get the nits picked out of a gun, when we dig into them.
Old Pro may not be able to report on the AEA guns he has with his new position at XISCIO ???

That's a shame. I've been following this thread but would really like to see a good video review from some one with the .22. It seems most all challenger reviews are on the big bores.

Liking my .30 with 24" barrel Out of the box shooting 95 FPE, they sent a heavier HS with mine have not felt the need for more ATM.
Wayne tells it like it is, with his reviews on the GTA, IMO GTA members have more time and field experience with some of these guns than reviewers who go on to the next thing faster than we can swap a mag and keep shooting the same gun.

What is a video review going to tell any more than you can take away from the thread I referred you to?

Buddy seems to like his and I'm not as enthusiastic about mine. It's OK, but just not consistent enough to call it a good gun. Sure, it can produce good power, but the spread on the velocity is too great to suit me.

I'll get back to playing with it again, but I enjoy shooting an Avenger or Marauder way more. No where near as frustrating... to me.

Can happen also a dud  from every brand, if things do not seem up to par with others results, might be a good time to use that warranty.  ???

I enjoy my avenger but since I did a couple of mods the regulator isn't working properly so I was thinking of going unregulated.

It seems Buddy and I are getting pretty much the same kind of numbers, it's just that he's OK with it and I ended up putting a regulator on mine. It helped, but not the total solution.

I think a good video review would point out the good and bad for people to see then make a choice. To me I'd rather see it than read about it.

All the AEA Challengers are excellent rifles for hunting and the price REALLY reasonable. Heck they sure the heck ain't no high end gun but for the price you can't beat them. Today I made an
excellent shot at about 50 yards on a red squirrel today, I went for the heart lung shot because I didn't want to waste precious time trying for a head shot and the shot was right on the money!
