Title: Arizona Airguns Here?
Post by: oledawg on July 18, 2020, 12:00:59 PM
I’m in Phoenix, Sunny Slope area. I know it’s crazy hot to shoot much now but maybe make some connections for shooting when it cools off?

Thanks Dave, I’ve looked there and marked me as well, was hoping to see who from Arizona might be on the forum for an Arizona Airgun discussion. If there is anything worthwhile to discuss that is.

I'm North of the 40 and a little west of the 89. I have 40 acres that I have the ability to shoot 170 yards not that I have yet. Only been here since the middle of March and have been spending my time trimming trees.

Nice how’s the weather up there? Getting the Arizona Monsoon? We have had nothing down here in the Valley, just 110+ every day lately.

There's a Phoenix club that shot off of Lake Mary Road, near Mormon Lake during the summer months and, at Ben Avery in the winter.

Here's their site.

A few drops but nothing yet. Was triple dig a few times but mostly in the 90s thank God. We don't have AC except for a small probable unit.

Reading this forum, and others like it is helping me maintain what little sanity remains. We're in the county northeast of Tucson on an acre so I'm very lucky to be able to shoot in my backyard. The flame got rekindled when I stumbled onto a vintage Crosman 2100 Classic in the closet. After scraping off the layers of crust (The rifle. Not me.), it still shoots pretty well (The rifle. Not me). That led to a Crosman 1377 which has since morphed into sort of a 1740 custom. I'm happy to say the muscle memory still works and is coming back gradually. I'm killing a lot of paper these days.

Anyway, I just popped in to say, "Howdy Desert Rats!" Stay safe and healthy, ya'll.
