New 1377 and bait questions
« on: July 27, 2010, 01:04:43 AM »
hey guys i just picked up my 3rd Air gun.....a new 1377! cant wait to shoot it. ive gotten pretty used to my PL1k and TF89.Those things hit pretty hard but i wanted something i can tinker around with easily and i wanted to steer away from the springers for a bit.

so my question is, what do you guys recommend doing to the gun before its first outing? clean the barrel, maybe mess with the trigger a bit? any advice you guys have, shoot em my way! Also do you guys have any recommendations as far as bang for buck, gotta have mods? last but not least, this is my first time shooting an air pistol and using open sights, what holds do you recommend and how good are the stock sights on this gun?

now in a bit of a different direction, im targeting nutters mainly. what bait do you guys recommend? i picked up some red ear corn on the cob(dried) with some squirrel feeders and a 4lb back of sunflower seed, peanut, and corn feed. do you guys think that will be suffecient? thanks a lot guys! any input would be appreciated!

OH yeah! what kinda pellets does this pistola like?!

Your choice of bait is fine very good for that matter as far as the 1377 many other airgun forums have extensive posts on mod's . i have a HB22 mac1 tuned it shoots sweet knot really all that power full 420 fps with beeman lasers 10grain but close range pest birds are fun at lunch on the construction site

hot "dang" there are a ton of mods for this thing. im already thinkin bout getting an 18in barrel(with band), steel breech with extended prob, a scope, shoulder stock, flat top piston and valve, and grips. what else would there be to do? oh yeah. would this thing produce more FPE if i convert this to a 1322? assuming the same mods?

ive had 100% 1 shot drops in .177 at close range
not so with the .22 sometimes they dont even know theyre shot til the second one gets them
even so i really like the punch of .22 on solid objects
short list
1) get up!
2) survive!!
3)go to bed!!!
