Just got this guy an hour ago. The neighbor's yard was crawling with the little buggers, and this brave soul decided to venture into my yard and shooting lane. Unfortunately, it wasn't a clean kill. I ended up with a gut-shot, and he went and hid. I loaded up the 1377 to finish him off, but by the time I found where he'd hidden, he was done. I'm not happy about the messy kill, but it sometimes happens. He makes a nice ad for Gamo Red Fires, though.

You got him in the end and were able to recover him, plus it only took 1 shot. That's a nice fox squirrel. Great pics!

You're an honorable hunter, we all try for the instant kill, but sometimes the little buggers take a while. Nice looking varmint though without his brains blown out.
