“Ethical” is just another word for political.. or virtue signaling if ya like. Don’t matter how big a caliber and how much fpe with it..Someone will accuse you of being unethical.Quincidentally I have fox, lynx, brown n black bear, coyote, and wolf but turns out the squirrels here do more damage to rabbits by eating them young in the nest. Rabbits cycle naturally with the lynx here. Isn’t there a expert Hawaiian hunter on here that has taken boar with a .177 disco? If only he would do a post of skull pics with different calibers?
Gonna leave this here....

I myself would not to be able to shoot a Fox, like I couldn't shoot a Cougar or a Bobcat.
I don't raise chickens.... So on my property foxes and other small predators get a pass. They help keep the rodent population in check. Yes, sometimes I hear them making that screaming type noise at night. Makes me glad to know we have a healthy eco system to support them around here.
According to some research, Foxes apparently like to be friendly with cats and domestic dogs. They might chase the cats just to play if that is true. I know they do play, we check for where all the tennis balls and frisbee’s near their den are moved to/chewed up each day lol. The coyotes are different on the other hand. They’ll eat your cats.
Dan you ought to setup a video trailcam by their den to watch them playing with the balls. They would likely crack you up, plus you could share the videos online for others to enjoy too. Neat story Hunter.
