Only 175#?!?!? Great shot Donny. That guy would have eaten a lot of crops.
Nice shooting and good riddance to a destructive hog.
Well done donny, that big one will come one day, the pigs are back here now, eventually!I may yet get that little sfp christened.Had my heart set on the maverick till the m3 came out, now decisions!!
The thing that is putting me off the maverick is they are shipping them here in low power models, like the UK versionwhich has the regulator moved to the rear of the plenum rather than the front, great for extra sub 12 fpe shot count, but useless if you want to make power in them and pretty "dang" difficult to undo.Had my crosshairs on a boar last week, was exciting, but it would not stay still, i am sure it got a whiff of my scent, it ranthen turned around and charged me, it had youngsters with it so was in protective mode, I ended up climbing up my kidsclimbing frame to get out of its way.We have had no rain here for months till recently and they only come when it rains, nothing for them to drink bar puddlesfor miles around here.I will need to look into if the regulator placement can be easily changed as to be honest i would prefer the maverick and900 bucks less. my local gunshop has a shipment are arriving here in july, so need to wait till thenI have also managed to get permission to shoot on someone else's land up in the hills and they have deer up there. That 30 cal is a powerhouse , how you finding the accuracy? and are you using an fx liner?
You in a blind or tree stand? The big boy will be back it's just a matter of when. Speaking of IR scopes I recently got a new day/night Wraith 2-16x28 that takes hd video for just $475. The light with it is good to 300yds. I have it mounted on my AR15 for the hogs that spook from my red sniper hog light. Continued success and congrats.
