@struckat, yes bigger, faster, is better when you have "wide open" spaces for your projectiles to fly. Or don't have to worry about what's "beyond your target"? But when does that happen? Some get into Airguns to be able to shoot in areas off limits to .22 rimfires. The appeal is that lower power. My .22 at 30 FPE is considered a firearm in Britain. What the Brit pesters do with barely 12 FPE .177s show what's possible. If I want the good old American "bigger is better " a can shoot a powder burner.
