A Daisy 882? Variant that someone got tired of the rear aperture sight slipping out of position?

The 882 was not stamped as such- they were simply stamped 880. What hurts this one is the front sight is supposed to be a globe type, and the front sight for the 882 is all but impossible to find. The rear Williams peep sight turns up from time to time. It was available from JG Airguns for a while but last I knew, they sold out. Most sellers don't know what it actually fits.
Back a few years ago when one of these guns surfaced, we talked quite a bit about it: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=147746.0 I made an 882 clone using the correct Williams rear sight from JG Airguns and had GEO 3D a front sight with a very effective LDC so I could use a Daisy globe made for the 753. I didn't drill my receiver, instead, I threaded the rear sight screw holes to use set screws to clamp the sight to the dovetail. It works quite well.
