DANG ! that hammer spring looks like it would work on a motorcycle fork ! no wonder it is crazy hard to pull back LOL ! yeah I am thinking lighter return spring.... lighter hammer spring... peek poppet .... those 3 are what's missing to make this gun really good ....
The brown Truck showed up with my HS today installed it and the difference is night and day on the cocking effort, filled the gun to3600 psi and shot some 88gr GT bullets ,whoow got a bell curve instead of a cliff started at 709 fps and 12 shots later 835 ,shot 6 was 921 ,so I refilled to 3100 psi and shot a string 1st was error then 935 to 780 for a mag. ,I'll try a little higher fill next 3200psi and try again ,this is gonna be my tune for this light slug shooter, spring info in pics.

For example, in an OEM Bulldog barrel they are accurate in the 850fps range. Push them much faster and they start to scatter. IIRC the OEM Bulldog barrel is really fast, something like 1:14-1:16 twist. Out of my TJ's 1:26 the GT88gr are very accurate at 915fps and perhaps even faster. The GT88gr is a great little .357 slug, one of my favorites. I call them "flying ashtrays." I picked up the same mold from MP molds so I no longer have to wait 4 months for my next GT order to ship....

I'll ck twist later today , when I ordered my GT bullets they came in one week ,that was back in Jan last year the virus probably changed that guess I need to get that mold.
I just cast some NOE .357 pellets ....
I came up with 1- 32 twist rate , had to measure for a half turn as the barrel is only 24 inches,
The part # @ mcmaster-carr for the HS is 1986K603,,,, 3.5" long ,0.845 OD , 0.685 ID , 10lb rate ,
I just looked at NOE,s web site they only show a .356 pellet mold is that what you are using?
