Which is better in yalls opinion? I have a 3-9x32 bugbuster and and am satisfied with it but i prefer a side focus and dont really care about the illuminated ret. However if the hawke is significantly better i could deal with the bell adjustable abjective. Opinions?

I have a Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 with the illuminated reticle on my Hw30. It's a nice little scope. No problem. Fwiw the Vantage line is not technically a springer rated scope but they will still warrantee them on guns upto 12fpe. I don't use the lighted reticle much but once in a while it comes in handy. I only bought the illuminated version because it has a thinner glass reticle than the standard Vantage series. Sorry I can't make a direct comparison because I don't have that exact UTG model. I have had some of their others and I feel the Hawkes are a little nicer and their customer service is at least as good. I've used them both. I will buy another Hawke, but I can't say the same for the UTGs.

My aging eyes have been finding it harder to see the little details on targets at 25 yards with anything less than 12x any more, so 3-12 zoom is the minimum for me nowadays.
And STILL waiting on a BugBuster 3-12 purchased from eBay on 3/7/21!!!

I only have the Bug Buster so can't compare, but it's serving me very well, even at dusk.
Very crisp, nice reticle and I REALLY like how the turrets adjust & lock. l (though again I've never used anything else.)
The only thing I wish it had was a side parallax adjuster. - But the front adjustment isn't really hard to use once you get used to it.
The only comment I can make on a comparison is that, to my surprise, I really like having 9X as an option, even for pesting & hunting.
Oh, and I'm with Bayman on the illuminated reticle, even though they both have it. I never use it, even at dusk. A total gimmick, IMO.
