New Airgun Hunting Regulations Interactive Map Launched Ė check it out! View it here: http://airgunsporting.org/laws/
The Airgun Sporting Association (ASA) and Pyramyd Air just launched a comprehensive interactive map for all the states with their respective airgun hunting laws and regulations!

From this map you can click on each state to view the current airgun hunting laws. Scroll below the map to see the species allowed for airgun hunting and other regulatory considerations. This interactive map was created in collaboration with Pyramyd Air and the Airgun Sporting Association (ASA).

Please note that laws and regulations do change rapidly and there are links below the map for you to visit the specific State Agency website for each state to access the specifics for each species and season in which you are interested to hunt.

Thanks for sharing Chris!
I sent them an email to include the Hawaiian Islands. Also be sure to verify the regs for your state that your hunting in.

Cal doesn't have an air gun Crow season. Private property or farm land is not listed in regs.

Hunting crows in Ca is shotgun only, no airguns--private property or not

I have a feeling there is going to be more errors.  I would just go on your state's DNR web site and call them too if you are not sure about something.

Alligators may not be hunted in Florida with airguns.

There is a small exception for large land owners enrolled in the private land alligator management program, who may set their own gator seasons and rules. Most hunters will never have the priviledge of particpating in that program.

To add to this on a pesting level, check your local ordinances on acceptable ways to counter pest in urban areas. A simple google of the location one plans to do pesting look for local  ordinances on you locations web site, your brain may hurt when done but you will be wiser ;)

I called my DNR here in SC after looking at the map and learned something new. Apparently, the only known information for us is an email message that was sent out 2 years ago stating that Airguns fall under the heading of rifles. They aren't addressed in our guide that is linked through the map saying such. The only ones that can have it put in the guide are the legislature. The nice lady that I spoke with said she would call me back tomorrow with more specifics. I did ask if she could email me a copy of the letter, for a future just in case.

Thank you everyone for reviewing this map!  Make sure to use that contact form at ASA if you think there needs to be corrections and they will get right on it.  I think one thing is very clear is that airgun hunting laws across the country are currently quite muddy.  That is the goal of the ASA is to work with hunters, manufactures, and wildlife agencies across the U.S. to give us more clarity and create pro-airgun hunting laws.

The info on the state of Ms. is incorrect! It shows no airgun hunting allowed.....

Airgun hunting IS LEGAL in Ms. for small game and fur bearers with 177 and 22 cal. Airguns.

It is clearly stated in the hunting pamphlet they hand out when you buy a hunting license.
Itís under the extra regulations ( or something like that) section.
Iíve sent emails to both pyramid air before, and now to the AGS, but the map remains the same.

Thanks for the link. I think some corrections need to be made for Illinois. I'll double check the laws and check with the local enforcement people to see how they are interpreting things (seems to work for me to keep in contact with them), and then make recommendations for changes.

Harry

In Commyfornia, one needs to hire a lawyer to understand all the complicated regs.  This detours a lot of hunters.  The dfw, is saying they are working on a simpler re-write.  The question remains if our governor allows it.  The state gets tons of money from the "anti's."  He may be at risk, to lose them.
