And it's been a while since I first, shot at my first rat. :-\
Well I found out my rats really love philidelphia cream cheese. It's to die for, literally kept coming even with rat corpses surrounding the area. All in the same night at 56 yards. Missed 1 shot, the colder weather changed my poi a tad bit lower somehow. But got 5 more, even managed to get some impacts on footage tossing them back, knocking the cream cheese out the stomach. (Ewww) . . But it's pretty gruesome what the jsb hades did compared to the 25gr domes.
Should I post a pic.?

Shucks, when I read the title of this thread I thought it was another recipe for rodent.
Something like:
Butterflied rodents stuffed with a garlic, chive, and cream cheese mixture, wrapped with a slice of bacon, and topped with butter.
(FYI: I do eat rodents just not rats, if you eat squirrel so do you.)

Yea I'm a rodent eater too, my friend grills the squirrels to perfection.

I called the game warden today , so I can get info about public lands. Turns out I can only hunt squirrels with a shotgun. So idk if I'll ever be able to answer your question.

Mine are not going for anything I have put out so far, so why not try cream cheese, it works with bacon and Jalapenos..... Have a Jalapeno Popper You Rat.... ;D ;D ;D

Nice to know, I will switch it up on them, so they don't get tired of cream cheese. After all was said and done, my solar light was very dim and the monster of all rats came out . But the camera only picked up dark movements with no detail.

There are many animals that love peanut butter. You can spread it on anything and they will find it. I expect it is cheaper than cream cheese especially of you buy large jars of house brand, the rats wont know. Some feed stores cater to deer hunters and sell it in 5 gallon buckets

There are many animals that love peanut butter. You can spread it on anything and they will find it. I expect it is cheaper than cream cheese especially of you buy large jars of house brand, the rats wont know. Some feed stores cater to deer hunters and sell it in 5 gallon buckets
I know I've tried peanut butter with no luck. Also tried regular cheese , ham ,hotdogs, trash stuff . But cream cheese is da shiznizz.

I hate sea food, and cream cheese only goes in stuffed chicken here. Plus, a smile on my face after shooting rats at longer distances...priceless. ($2 actually) Especially after months of failure.

Good job hammering those rats. Those Hades pellets seem to do a very good job.

They really do perform well and have nearly identical trajectory as the 25gr diabolos, out to 80 yards.

My Rat didn't go for the cream cheese.... it went for Strawberry jelly, put a hole in him last night.... ;D ;D ;D
got him with the Prod and a JSB 14.3 diabolo

Please, elaborate a bit on the kill effectivity and the meat shredding performance of the domes vs. the Hades.
Which caliber(?), MV, and ranges — to get a better idea what to expect.

I didn't know about five gallon buckets of peanut butter, I'll have to find some now.

So the domes in 25cal get the job done. But the hades is very surgical with it. Like 12g vs 45acp point blank.
Like if you don't want to clean up a mess go with domes. Also mine were flying at 850 fps and some rats were so gruesome the eyes literally popped out with hades. :o very very disgustingly pleasing.
