I got this gun used at a good price. it seems to shoot good "seems like a nice trigger" and fairly hard with the .22 barrel. the .177 is less accurate. it is marked sportsman RS2 series. the numbers on it are 81223088, does anyone have a guess as to what year it was made? also i'm wondering, it shoots good now but are there any modifications/parts available for this gun? who should i contact for this?
thanks for any comments/help

I have one of those. I found that the .22 barrel shoots better than the .177 too. And I noticed that every time I changed barrels, the POI changed enough to warrant scope adjustment. So I settled on the .22 barrel. Then I started noticing that the barrel set screw was loosening after a number of shots...and once again affecting POI. So I kept the .22 barrel in there, put some blue loctite on the set screw, and let it sit overnight. Found that shimming the breech seal gained a little velocity, but your mileage may vary...and I used a different oring for the breech too. I didnt record the size that I used, but later I found a post here that listed the metric size of 2mmW x 12mmOD x 8mmID, which sounds right to me.
Now no more problems and she shoots great with Crosman Ultra Magnums or Crosman brown box. There's a lot of power in those guns!!! Nice trigger too. Stockwork and finishing is really good too. I paid $120 for mine at Walmart brand spankin new.

I adjusted the trigger on mine. The closest screw (small) to the trigger is the first stage travel. (I believe) I turned this one clockwise.
The bigger adjusting screw (last one) would be trigger weight and the more counterclockwise you turn it the lighter the trigger will get. The spring needs to be replaced with a lighter spring.
The middle screw (small) is the second stage adjustment. turning it counterclockwise leads to a lighter stage
