AR2078A malfunction

Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to CO2 air rifles. I purchased the AR2078a for my daughter to shoot in 4 H competion and she has used it all summer. She practiced with it the other night and when she was done I put 2 new cylinders in it, test fired it, and put it away. When she got to the line today, State Final Competion, she fired once and then it would not fire again. I went to check it. Had a little trouble with the key releasing the pressure but got it and it was still charged. put in 2 new cylinders, cycled the bolt, pulled the trigger and nothing. When I cycled the bolt It didn't feel right. Like it didn't cock. Came home to take it apart and this is where I'm having trouble. I,m very mechanically inclined and have worked on percussion firearms alot but air is somewhat of a mystery to me. I have the barrel and action removed and the trigger group removed. The trigger group appears ok. There seems to be something broke but I can't get it apart to see. The bolt now will not rotate all the way back and I can't tell what needs to come out next to get the gas section and hammer parts out.
Sorry for such a long post for my first one but if any one can help I want the to have as much info as possible. Thank you.

Could be valve lock. Happens when ambient temp is too hot for CO2 and max on pressure somewhere 1100+psi, if that happens the hammer cannot overcome the valve pressure to fire. From the way you wrote you had problem venting it out. As for the bolt or cocking problem, could be a pellet fell in the gap between probe and breech behind the loading tray and got wedged on the hammer slot. Could also be part #900 or #1000 is bent or got out of the slot. See attached diagram>>

Thanks for the replies. Figured out that the bolt wouldn't open because the rear pin had migrated up. The bolt and hammer/ gas valve appear fine. The problem with the rifle is the sear. Haven't taken it apart yet to see what broke but probably a pin or something. Found some good videos on you tube bye the Tecforce guru at Compasseco. I live about 30 mins from compasseco so getting parts and help should be easy.
