If it's new, maybe look into a warranty replacement??

Only difference is the names on them, Weihrauch vs Beeman..lol.I have 2 Beeman R7's, newer one in .177 I got from fellow member Marc and an older one in .20. Pellet that shoots the best so far in my .177 I can't recommend since they're no longer made. 2nd best so far are the RWS R10 Match Heavy 8.2 gr.Now I see why you know all about the H&N Sniper mediums. That sure is a small group. -Y

I think you will enjoy the rifle more. Maybe not because it will be fundamentally better but because you will have mentally made it yours. I suggest the Vortek vac seal as well. I think I actually prefer that seal but ARH kits but Vortek makes good stuff in my experience. Be aware you will need to run a 100 or so shots to settle in the new setup. A second caution is don’t slather grease everywhere go easy and light and make sure you don’t get any in front of the piston seal or on the front of the seal itself etc. just around the edges of it. Like I said there are folks here who know FAR FAR more than I, like Bayman who has replied to this thread. Take him up on his IM offer I am sure he can give you some pointers. Enjoy the project and keep in mind some parts might require a little cromagnum finesse(a good whack) if you will .
The seal looks like it has been subject to severe dieseling. It's loose on the piston. You can tell by the rotation of the transfer port print. Clean it up and see if you can find any splits or cuts. Sometimes they rupture in the center and it's hard to tell until you get the seal off and push on the center.
Don't tell them you had it apart. It voids the warranty
So Ron what would cause the rubbing on the vortek kit any ideas?
