and you tell me you aren't at a high enuff level to shoot the natl's ? Ha ha thanks Dick. However:1. The GTA game is fun but easier than a live bench match. You can try several targets and submit your best (the one shot before this was 200/16x)2. The application asked that you shoot in at least two classes. My RAW shoots open class (~27fpe) and I don't have another air rifle suited for benchrest.3. The crowd at Open Grove is very friendly and helpful, and I may have been able to borrow a gun to shoot HV or LV. THEN you would have seen how not ready I am! (Open class requires smaller hold-off for wind, so the lower power classes are better tests of shooting ability, flag reading, etc)4.I have more testing to do with this gun to become consistent and competitive. Specifically the barrel cleaning regime -turns out it shoots better somewhat dirty. After thorough cleaning it takes 1-2 cards to stabilize, and I'm not sure how many cards it shoots well before the gunk degrades accuracy. Also more testing to do on pellet lot#, die, etc.5. Hopefully will have more time to do more testing as well as practice at Open Grove.Kim
Mike's scoring plug is the best accessory!
Sure hope they do add a benchrest competition, that would be a lot of fun too! Don't miss next year Pappy, it's well worth attending!!! A+ event
