Wow,To me, anything chunking that much lead at that speed and FPE isn't a "pellet rifle" any longer. At least not to me anyways. That's powder burning territory to me. At some point a person has to ask themselves, "should I spend a grand on this fancy "pellet rifle" or pickup a decent .22 cal LR for 300 bucks, cause they both have about the same performance. Or maybe I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around all this. For most folks when they hear of someone having a pellet rifle they think of something that would barely have enough power to kill a house cat, or a small dog. The public never thinks of the word "pellet rifle" or "Air rifle" the way we do.To me the general public would never consider that a "pellet rifle" can shoot 25+ grains of lead at speeds approaching 1000 fps. I'm concerned that the "Air rifle" industry is gonna keep pushing the envelope of "Pellet rifles" until Big Brother takes notice and regulates us all to heck and gone. I wonder if the "Air rifle" industry considers this as they chase after bigger and bigger bores sizes, and fast, and faster speeds with heavier pellets. At some point you have to realize that what started off as a little old pellet rifle is no longer a "pellet rifle", and a little old pellet isn't a little old pellet any longer.I know none of this has anything to do with the OP's hog hunt with this rifle, but still. And it's not my intention to hijack this thread, so I'll stay on topic. I'm just thinking out loud here.Awesome hunt!!!
Awesome. Makes me want to get back out there this weekend. Weather should be great, but the snakes are out and no shortage of posion ivy.
Good shooting Manny!
