Their supposed to be here, but I'm finding little sign so far, mostly lots of deer evidence. I'm not a big fan of getting too high up in the trees anymore, but since hogs have a pretty low angle of vision, I suspected I could go lower, below 10ft and still have enough height. Paul, with Hogs you really need to get the wind right ( you can't fool the porcine noise ) be careful of noise, but you can get away a bit with the visual, they recognise movement well but if you keep that to a minimum they really can't focus all that well

Manny, does the local State game commission keep tabs on the hog population and try and keep them from being overhunted or is it basically a hands off approach and that's why their population is low due to the 'over hunting'?BZ

Wow Manny. GREAT hunting there sir. I'm certain hog hunting is serious but hey, TRY to smile sometime? We will still think of you as MANny. Even if we detect a smile through the camo. Never really waited on em in a blind or stand. Down there we just found some good scrub with space between patches, then work around the area from cover. Early mornings they'd be moving in and out between cover. Really kind of easy. Here in NC it's way different and you have to work a lot harder.
