Hey all
I found a nice Beeman 124 Feinwerkbau "standard" in excellent shape. The blueing is deep, the bore is good and the stock shows no signs of wear. What do you think a good appraisal of such a gun would be?
Also, the rifle comes with a Beeman Blue Ribbon model 66 2-7 power scope (also in good shape). Does anyone know how much the scope is worth?
I haven't bought many springers and am not as familiar with the values. Thanks in advance.

the scopes and rifle are highly sought after! so if its in excellent condition I'd think the whole package could be worth 4to500 bucks but keep in mind this the standard rifle is not worth as much as the 124D JMO

I think that's a little steep IMO for that rifle, but to each his own

I have one of each (rifle and scope). Although my rifle is a “D”, the action is identical. The rifle and scope were the standards to which others were compared for decades. My 124D listed for $199, in 1978, and I believe the 66R scope was about $160 a year or two later. I have never regretted buying either. I also have a Beeman 2.5x32 scope. It is crystal clear; bright; and solid as a rock.
Current values are determined by what someone who wants it is willing to pay. If I wanted the rifle listing for $600 on Gunbroker, I
could
rationalize it because the Maccari stocks are listing (on closeout) at $250 ish which leaves $350 for the action and original standard stock. Not a great deal but not bad one either.
Just my .02¢

I think that a very good deal. Especially if both stocks are included. I own both deluxe Sporters and the standard Sporters and I don't see the deluxe really being "that much" more valueble of these rifles. And thaw about the only thing I will ever disagree with brother Mark about.
. Another thing that makes this rifle worth the asking price is that it includes both the front and rear open sights. Just try to find a pair online and you'll be searching for a while. My standard 124 has an original Beeman installed barrel sling clamp that has never been removed and I think it adds just as much bling as the deluxe sling swivel. Looks cool too. Since it has been resealled, you wouldn't have to worry about performing a rebuild unless it isn't up to your standards. Hope this helps.
