Missed the last one due to 15 hour work days. 90 degrees and high humidity equals less lead slinging time!!
Was able to shoot this beauty today

Jumper Class
Gamo Whisper, .177 – with CDT trigger installed by self.
Beeman Blue Ribbon, fixed power, 4X30 W/AO
RWS Superdome, 8.3 gr.
Springer
Seated, Front + Rear bag
Target shot at my own range.
Weather; sunny, 82F, wind – 0-6, variable.
Score – 144/200

I am obviously a beginner at bench rest shooting a springer air rifle.  I Tried my Daisy 953 at 30 Yds. with this target.  Embarrassing!   After a lot or research, I purchased a Gamo Whisper and just received a XS-25 tuned by Mike.  It Looks like I’ve got the bug.
I don’t have a clue why 3 shots went out of the rings.  My best target 2 weeks ago was 129 with 8 shots out of the rings.

Having fun and P.M.O.E. (Pursuing My Own Excellence.)

Glad to see you competing Gil!!! Stick with it and you'll be talking smack real soon bro!!
Try losing the rear bag and trying the artillery hold. I find that works much better with my Gamos.

Joe
Thanks for the suggestion.  Tried the artillery hold with the original trigger.  Hits all over the paper.  Now that I've got the CDT trigger installed, the artillery hold is next to try again.

What pellets have you found work best in Gamo's?  My best pellet for my Gamo are the RWS Super Domes.  What kind of stock bag do they like?  A sock filled with rice, sand bag, clothes tied up tightly, etc.  I even made a paint roller stand for the front rest.  Didn't work for me.

I'm now working on my new MM tuned XS-25.  My pellet order should be here tomorrow.  The sample JSB assortment package of Diabolo's had one that showed promise.  The 8.4 gr. Exact domed.

I noticed that you have a TX200 Mark 3.  In the 90's I had a TX200 SR tuned by a guy in Mich.  Wow, that was a nice air rifle.  Wish now I still had it.  It shot like a PCP.  Shot FT with the Tampa boys and ran several FT matches at the Wyoming Antelope Club in St. Pete.

Good luck,

Having fun, PMOE
Gil

Love P M O E bro!!!
I like the Caldwell front bag. I lay a small towel on top, rest the balance point on the bag and lightly hold the rear of the rifle. Works for me. I have 3 Whispers and they all seem to like the boxed CPLs and JSB 8.4. I only use domed pellets, they're the best for any longer distances.
Isn't that trigger awesome??? I have it on all 3 of mine.
I can't say enough about my TX!! Laser beam out to 60 yards!! And smoooooth!!! I had Motörhead, Scott here on the GTA tune it and it is just a pleasure to shoot!!!
Let me know how you make out P. Y. O. E.!!!!!!

Thanks for the flowers’. The PMOE was born at the WAC (Wyoming Antelope Club) shooting club in St. Pete during the 90's. While I was writing about the matches in the club news letter the founders asked me run the Hunters Fun Shoot match.  At that time we had about 4 to 6 shooters every Thursday night.  We couldn't seem to get more participants.  So, I started asking, why not.  The main excuse was "I can't compete against those guys."  After a little time and thought, I said, "how about I won't publish your score if you write P.M.O.E. on your score card.  It worked!   Every Thursday evening at 6:00 o’clock, we grew quickly to 25 to 30 plus shooters.  We had to start running relays to handle the extra shooters.  P.M.O.E. eventually became scores as the beginners gained confidence with improvement.

Yes, the Air Arms TX200 is a class act.  I really liked my SR.  (I like your descriptor   terms.)
Changed the rest today to a stretchy sock filled with a box of Uncle Ben's rice.  Changed the scope on the Gamo because the accuracy now exceeds a 4X scope’s capabilities to a Bushnell 4-12 w/AO.  Thanks for the help and tips.  P.Y.O.E.

About 100% humidity and occasional rain. So I shot benchrest from the kitchen window... right next to the coffeemachine ;)
Halfway through the match, I found that I was sometimes hitting the wifes flowers..

Congrats 1nmartin on those scores....from what I can tell you seem to have 5 "X"s.  An "X" is when the shot hits the 10 ring and don't touch the outer edge (Line).  So your score would be 194/200  5X
