Your gun looks to be in very nice condition. I have already asked an expert here about seals, he says he doesn't know....the gun still shoots! So why should he take it apart?
Gotta love it, the gun is more than 60 years old, and still going strong. The gun on the auction went for $200, and was also still shooting. Those studs looked funky though, yours would get a real nice sum for sure. Get the seal done, and see what happens. A nice old vintage gun, and obviously valuable.

sidman, Granddad brought over a relative new air rifle. They were built 50's to mid 60's. He doesn't know which seals may fit, but these can be made to fit, if needed. Ask around here for more info on what to do next, okay?
I am not an expert, just inquisitive. I'd say though, put some ammo in there and see what happens.

I think when the old guns look as good as yours, then let them be as far as the visual aspect goes. Fix was doesn't work, get rid of the rust, lube it and run it as is.
Your gun really does look nice, the guys here in Germany think so too, so I would advise be prudent and let the old gun be an old gun, just one that works well. The old patina cannot be made, it is earned.
Don, it was fun. I love inter-action on Forums, I wish there was more, and I'll inform of any new developments.
Greetings,
Robert

Hello Skip,
An interesting place that's full of German history. If Germany had a King (Kaiser) again, he would come from here. The Crown Prince lives there now.
Greetings from Germany.
