How to unfollow a thread?
« on: August 14, 2021, 01:22:56 PM »
How can I unfollow a thread so it will no longer come up in "show new replies to your posts"?

Thanks

Unfortunately, you can't unfollow threads.

As long as someone is posting in a thread you've posted in, it will appear in "Show new replies to your posts."

There is a way to move through all the posts quickly WITHOUT scrolling down.  When you first click 'Show new replies to your posts.', there is a little symbol at the far right end of each line that sends you to the LAST post immediately.
That might help.

Yeah I made the mistake of posting in one of the many super posts this forum seems to have a taste for and now I’m forever seeing it in my “replies to my posts”

I made a post asking two weeks ago and I was bummed to hear that I’m stuck with it.

It honestly makes me never want to post in a super post with daily updates like the “good morning” one or “what did you order/receive today” etc.

*Hey mods, what about if we archived some of these million page long super-daily threads and began new ones identical to the firsts? That way people would have a chance of getting rid of the annoying notifications over time. I mean, who’s really gonna go through like 74 pages trying to find a post someone made anyways? They’ll give up at like 22 pages in. By archiving them after a certain point, the information contained in these threads would be easier accessed.
