Thanks
Don't sweat the label warnings. It comes apart just fine with proper hand tools and skills. No heat is needed. Been using this stuff professionally since 1984. Works great on springer screws. Clean any grease from screw and hole threads, put a small drop on the first 4 threads tighten to specs and let sit overnight to cure.
Like a charm.

I like VC-3 for the front screw and the front trigger guard screw. I don't use anything on the rear screw because I don't want any flakes of threadlocker getting into the trigger unit.

I have always used RED which is described as PERMANENT STRENGTH on label
But WALMART only had Blue (medium strength) and it is working fine keeping my TX 200 screws(that hold action in stock) from backing out
Now that is a lowish strength application-
Red always worked fine for me before-and was easy enough to unscrew-so I would have no qualms about using RED

Loctite 242. is all you will ever need. Yes its blue and do NOT get it on plastic. Those telling you to use RED are setting you up for disaster. In a past life I used these products at my discretion constantly for decades. Blue for removable fasteners and red for permanent installation of thread inserts etc.

I have a new HW 50 which I had the same question for, it was loosening all
The stock and trigger guard screws when shooting from brand new. so I called AOA where I purchased from and
According to AOA they don’t recommend the use any sort of thread lock on the bolts. They said just keep shooting and snugging and eventually the screws will
Settle. It’s like an old car you don’t leave your house without your tool kit. From experience after shooting few hundred rounds it seems true the screws seem to be settling and not needing snugging as much the more and more i shoot

I need to call crosman and find out what they are using on their pellet tin lids.
I have a few tins that I slightly mangled trying to get the lids off of.
Anyone else had a problem with crosman's lids?
