Perfect conditions this morning
« on: May 15, 2021, 01:55:04 PM »
No wind, fog just clearing off, quiet early morning. Paintballs out to 43 yards with my LGV Challenger and Beeman 97K. First paintball session of the year. All that shooting at my indoor range out to 50 yards all winter showed. I forgot how satisfying that yellow paint splat thru the scope is, instant
gratification!   8)

That's great, Mike. Oh, yeah, all that indoor shooting over our long winters pays off when I get to shoot outdoors at 30 and 50 yards. Never used paintballs for a target, but sounds like fun. Just wondering, though, if they leave a mess?

Used to play paintball all the time. They're biodegradable etc.. that all being said if you don't clean them up yea, the shells of the ball itself stick around for a long time and some of the paints can last a while before they fade from UV/IR light. Some of them will still leave a non coloured stain even after that. Also if you're doing it indoors, some of them have a bit of a mild odor from the oils used to lubricate them and the paint itself. I wouldn't do it inside my house..

How do you fix the paintballs in place. ???  I have no bench that I want to get painted.  Love to be able to hang them from a tree...

Put 'em on a golf tee, or an ant hill, or on top of the grass, etc., etc. 1st hard rain, all gone. I'm shooting on public land, maybe 2 miles from my house, throw in some little green plastic army men (tough target!) and plink away.   ;)
