Here is a picture of the WGRS 54 on my R7 moved forward so that it even with the tube. I think it looks better and works fine. This riser slides right over the top of the safety, can be moved back closer to my eye if I want.
Sure. Been using them on a couple guns for years. They fit the dovetail well. Just slides on and secures with one tiny setscrew. It's never tried to move on my guns. The screw is cup faced, and WILL leave a mark if you don't flatten the screw face contact point. You can also place an aluminum filler puck into the recoil pin holes, and mount the sight there and let it dig into that instead. If you use it with a HW globe front, and there is ANY barrel droop, or you want to sight in waaaayy out there, it won't have enough adjustment. Too low. I know you are "in the know" on how to fix droop They are still just tall enough. But work well on my HW50S sighted in at 15-20 yards. On the 77K with a thinned down factory front blade, it's great. Plus they are much cheaper and MUCH more burly than the typical Williams airgun sights.
Very interesting! If I didn't already have Williams FP-AG peep sights on a 30 & 50S as well as my R9, I'd try this out. The best that I can tell, the riser and sight cost about as much as, or more than, the peep sights I have?
I wonder if these would fit? https://www.nordicmarksman.com/Riser-Block-4mm.htmlThat’s about the only one I can find in Canada. All others are 10mm or higher.
