Hi, all. I’ve only ever owned pump guns, but am looking at some potential springers to pull light pest control and target duty. I’m perplexed by these, honestly, and have become a little paranoid about barrel droop for break-barrels. Some say this is an annoyance at best and a hindrance to fun at worst. If this was a prohibitive issue, why are folks still buying these guns? I’ve been going back and forth over the Diana 34, but hate to imagine there would be a day where the barrel would need to be bent back into alignment. I keep thinking I might be better off trying to find a nice oldbenji 22 or Sheridan, so I won’t have the hassle and can enjoy variable power. Still, these springers with their great open sights have me interested! PS I’ve carried over my username from my favorite guitar board and just realized that I’ve missed a huge opportunity to use a more relevant userid: Jerry Springer. Someone must have claimed that hah!
