If you are shooting just paper any of them would be fine. If there is an occasional pest either of them would be fine also. If you want a .22 it’ll be just fine at 45 yards. Holdover will be needed but it doesn’t matter if you know your range you are shooting at.
My 97K produces single 5 shot holes at 30 yards with AA 7.87 gr. pellets. My 50S dispatches raiding bird feeder squirrels at that same distance with those same pellets.That's the good news. With her 3-9 Nikon EFR scope, she must weigh 30 pounds. 😖
I went with the .177 - ordered it with blue laminate stock. I shoot thumb up so I didn’t think the thumb hole stock versions would suit my style - although the wooden thumb hole version sure looked pretty.
